About the Skywire SMVP
The Skywire SMVP is a
total managed service solution that allows URSYS to deliver
a high quality, high reliability VoIP service to its
Customers.
The SMVP solution lends itself to the consumer market,
small to medium business and large enterprise. The
differences are in the customer premises equipment offered
– the core solution will operate for all variations
of the model.
Customers wishing to run a VoIP service on the SMVP have
only minimal requirement to set-up, operate and maintain a
VoIP service for their users.

The SMVP Architecture
The diagram above describes the various entry levels to the
SMVP architecture.
Subscriber Access
The subscriber access
layer is how URSYS reaches subscribers over an IP network.
URSYS may chose to provide business grade leased lines or
simply use the public internet. The Skywire SMVP is
agnostic to the type of access provided – as long as
it is a high quality broadband connection with managed
contention rates.
The Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) is also very
flexible. It may vary from a low cost soft-phone, a single
port analogue gateway, through to a multi-port analogue or
digital BRI/PRI gateway. Subject to integration of third
party equipment the Skywire SMVP will support options such
as G.729, H.323 and SIP VoIP PBX equipment.
